Well, my weight loss plan has been going ok so far. I've only lost two pounds, but I'm trying to keep my chin up and keep telling myself that at least it's something. I've been sticking to my workouts, but to be honest I've really been struggling with the diet part.
You see, I have this nagging sweet tooth that gets me every time, not to mention I'm a die hard carb-aholic. For the most part, I try to keep sweets and less desirable snacks out of the house, but it can be difficult sometimes with kids at home.
On a positive note, we've been doing a ton of biking lately which I've really been enjoying. Since I have a bike trailer to put the kids in I don't have to plan my cardio workouts around their naps, which is a life saver. As an added bonus, they love riding in the trailer and are completely content and whine free for the duration of the ride. It really doesn't get much better than that - it's really easy to stay motivated to exercise when it's so enjoyable. :)
On a side note, I've added a weight loss ticker on the right side bar to keep you updated and hopefully keep me in check. Anyway, I hope you're all having a great week, and if you're following along, I would love to hear how you're doing so far.
Just keep it up. What helped me when dieting is to change what I ate in increments. The first week, just change one thing (like eating snacks throughout the day to curb hunger), then second week eat smaller portions of your meal, especially dinner. And so forth. And remember that you should allow for a sweet indulgence every so often as a treat. It will help you stick to your diet in the long run. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI've been doing ok. I'm not losing as quickly as I'd like, but I've lost 7 pounds in about a month. I struggle if I'm faced with something that I love, like ice cream.
ReplyDeleteI have found that fast food tends to upset my stomach now; going 2 weeks without it has made me not crave it as much too. :)
@ Katie - Thanks for the tip! I think doing it that way will make it much more feasible for me. :)
ReplyDelete@Cori - 7 pounds in a month is fantastic! Congrats! My problem is that I love all kind of breads, pastries and anything sweet, not to mention I tend to eat when I'm under stress - not a good combination with the kiddos, LOL! :)
